Today, Sunday January 25, 2009 Obama urges to pass a massive stimulus package. He states "Just this week, we saw more people file for unemployment than at any time in the last 26 years, and experts agree that if nothing is done, the unemployment rate could reach double digits." Is that what the United States really needs, more money to get out of this recession? Barack wants to pass an $825 billion economic stimulus package, which he hopes will create up to 4,000,000 jobs over the next two years. The president hopes to have the plan passed by our Congress for signing by February 16, on Presidents Day. After a stimulant bill is passed a site www.recovery.gov will show tax payers where their money is being spent, Obama said Saturday.

ReplyDeleteI think that at this point, any change is a good change. There is way to much suffering going on in the United States. My dad recently lost his job because of the economic struggles his company was facing. He was one of the lucky one's however to find another job within a couple of weeks. Obama's plan seems to be very reasonable and I believe that we should support it.
